What Is Deep Tissue Massage?

It is a therapeutic technique that targets the deeper layers of muscles and connective tissues in the body. Applying firm pressure and deliberate strokes, this massage aims to release chronic tension, alleviate pain, and enhance flexibility. Utilising techniques like deep finger pressure and friction, therapists focus on specific areas of discomfort, addressing knots and promoting the release of muscle tension.

How does it Happen?

We start with a gentle warm-up to ease your muscles, often using soothing techniques like
light massage (effleurage). From there, we move into more profound work, using firm
pressure with fingers, elbows, and forearms to focus on areas of tension. Techniques such as
‘stripping’ and ‘friction’ help break down knots and relieve muscle tightness.

Throughout your session, we encourage open communication so you can let us know how
you’re feeling and what adjustments you’d like. After the massage, we’ll offer some helpful
tips for self-care to maintain the benefits of your session. We aim to help relieve chronic.
